New Members

Pinellas county offers some of the best high school in the state , and Pinellas Soccer Officials Association welcomes officials from all stages of their officiating career to join us in experiencing these fantastic matches and providing a consistent and fair enviornment for students.

PSOA is proud to have many high-level current and emeritus USSF referees among its ranks. We are committed to developing new referees and helping them get where they want to go within the high school officials' community.

Registering

Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) and NFHS use Arbiter as their central hub for officials. All officials should sign up through fhsaa.arbitersports.com, select "Registration" at the top of the screen, and follow the steps to complete their registration with the state. When prompted, please select Pinellas Soccer Officials Association as your primary soccer association to be automatically forwarded to our system.

Jessica Lunsford Act

All officials are also required by the State of Florida to go through a Level 2 background check and receive a Badge to be in compliance with the Jessica Lunsford act. You are required to present the Badge to school officials when arriving for your matches. Officials looking to apply or renew their background check should visit http://fieldprintflorida.com and follow the steps. Fingerprinting is a required part of this process. When prompted for your employer, use Pinellas Soccer Officials Association. When prompted for your "Fieldprint Code", use the code below that applies to your applicaiton:

These Level 2 Badges are good for 5 years, after which you will need to go through the process again. Badges must be picked up in-person at Walter Pownall Services Center, 11111 Belcher Rd S, Largo, FL. Assigning

PSOA uses Arbiter for assigning. This allows for better integration with FHSAA and NFHS and gives a high level of service to our members. All officials should sign up through fhsaa.arbitersports.com and select Pinellas Soccer Officials Association as their primary soccer association to be automatically forwarded to our system.

Please make sure to keep your availability up to date, and verify your contact information is current (including a phone number).

Important Information

▶$20 fine for every missed meeting

▶Association dues are $50 per season and $0.50 per game. Dues are automatically deducted from your checks 

▶Due to the contract with Pinellas County Schools, game fees are paid on a monthly basis via ArbiterPay.  No cash will be paid at the field.

▶FHSAA's Aqua shirts and USSF-style 2-stripe socks are the required uniform for all PSOA high school games
